Isabella
The story behind these two houses
Not a company history — just mine, and this village's.
People sometimes ask me how someone from Milan ends up planning her whole life around a handful of streets in Castelmuzio. There isn’t a short answer, so here’s the long one.
1998
I moved from Milan to the Val d’Orcia in 1998, on what I told everyone would be a short stay. It wasn’t. That same year I bought La Moscadella and, without really planning to, started what would become The Isabella Experience — and my first son, Niccolò, was born.

2008
Ten years later, in 2008, my second son, Filippo Carlo, was born, and by then Castelmuzio had properly become home rather than somewhere I was staying.
2016
In 2016 I bought Le Casine di Castello, and lived there myself for several years. It’s a house I know from the inside, not just as an owner.

2022
In 2022 I bought Casa Moricciani. It will be my own house again one day, but for now I’ve chosen to share it with guests instead — which, in a roundabout way, is how this website came to exist.
If any of this made you curious about staying in one of the houses yourself, have a look at both of them, or just write to me — I still answer everything myself.
